Tom studied rocking horse design for several years, measured kids from one to six years old, took into consideration balance, and worked these factors into the design.

Each rocking horse is built from 16 feet of two-by-ten northern spruce. It is carefully cut, routed, sanded, stained, and finished off with three coats of clear polyurethane. The horse is three foot long, three foot high, sixteen inches wide, and weighs approximately 45 pounds.
